Research Topic

For my research topic, I chose to write about MTV's The Real World and what the show portrays. I am also gathering information about the rules and guidelines they have for being on the show, as well as the auditioning procedures. For the evidence, I am using online articles, as well as books from the library. The purpose of this paper is to find out why the cast on the show does what they do, and how it effects they way an average person is. I imagine teens and young adults as my ideal audience, as well as anyone who is a fan of the show.

Research

My topic is Advertisement and the Automotive Industry. I am using a car manufacturers website for my Primary Source. My purpose is to describe how social media is affecting advertising today particularly relating to car manufacturers.

research

For my research paper I plan to follow Glenn Beck and analyze some of is texts to see if violent rhetoric is present. Many of his critics say that Glenn Beck incites violence in his works. Being a listener of his program I do not see the rhetoric. So my goal is to research and find if in fact his words incite violence or if his critics are just trying to put him down.

Research

The primary sources that I am using for my research paper are 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom. I am going to try to find out whether or not these shows have an effect on the actual amount of teenage pregnancies since they have been going on. I think that the ideal audience is all teens from ages fourteen to like twenty or so. I think it will be interesting to see if reality tv shows have that big of an impact on the lives of teens today.

Research Project

The topic of my research project is Teen Mom 16 and Pregnant Secret Life of the American Teenager. I will be researching how it affects the rate of how many girls get pregnant under the age of 18. The purpose of this is to see if these shows are glorifying teen pregnancy or making girls not want to get pregnant. The ideal audience would be people who watch these TV shows and people have been in the situation or people who could end up in this situation.

The Smart Phone Revolution

I will be focusing my topic on how the iPhone revolutionized the concept of the smart phone and what consumers come to expect out of these mobile devices compared to what they expected prior to the iPhone's debut in 2006. My primary sources will be my iPod Touch, my brother's iPhone, my friend's Android phone, and my dad's old Windows smart phone. With these devices, along with secondary sources, I will observe and analyze what major changes have been made in the smart phone hardware and software, along with how they all compare when competing with one another. This might be an interesting topic to anyone looking to buy a new smart phone, but really its just directed at anyone curious about how mobile smart phone technology has so quickly advanced and evolved in the past decade.

Analysis of Stanley Kubrick

I will be preforming an auteur study on Stanley Kubrick. I will not be viewing all of his movies, instead I will be selecting three films to carefully analyze in an effort to pick apart what exactly makes Kubrick the director and artist he was. My primary sources will be: A Clockwork Orange, The Shining and 2001: A Space Odyssey. My ideal audience would be anybody interested in film as an art form.

Research Topic

For my research paper, I will be writing about how television shows such as Teen Mom, 16 & Pregnant, and Secret Life of an American Teenager have an influence on young teens. People frown upon teen pregnancy, so why are these shows so popular? I am curious to see if shows such as these have an actual affect on the people who are watching them. I will be using episodes of the shows as my primary sources, along with posts from their Twitter profiles. My ideal audience will include young teenagers, along with parents of teenagers.

Primary Source Topic

I am doing writing my primary source research paper on internet radio. The two sources I will focus on the most are Pandora and Slacker. The purpose is to find out how internet radio is going to expand. The ideal audience is going to be people that have an interest in this topic that may be looking into the options of internet radio.

Research Paper

The topic of my research paper will be Nicki Minaj and I'll be using her Twitter page as my primary source. I will mainly be looking at her different "personalites" and how she uses that to help her career. Like whether she needs that to make it as a female rapper, how it shows in her music, or if that's what makes her so popular. I'm writing this project because I like Nicki Minaj and am curious why there aren't more female rappers out there as known as she is. I think my research paper will target mainly towards people who like rap music or who just like Nicki Minaj.

primary source

The topic of my research paper is going to be the following question... Do early critic reviews affect overall viewer ratings and/or ticket sales of new movies? The primary source of this topic is RottenTomatoes.com. This site displays critic reviews and audience reviews for comparison. I have chosen to write about this topic because I enjoy movies and I tend to rely on overall movie reviews before I see them. I believe the ideal audience of my paper would be high school and college students, who monetarily rely on critics as to which movies are worth their $11.25.

I'm not completely sure what my main topic will be yet, but I know it will have to do with comparing layouts, logos, capabilities, etc. of different 'discover' engines like StumbleUpon. My primary source will be StumbleUpon and the purpose of my paper will be to educate readers about what really is out there on the internet. My ideal audience will be my classmates, and obviously to individuals interested in stumbling.

Stumbleupon vs. Digg

I've come across two websites that I am very interested in. Those two websites are Stumbleupon.com and Digg.com. Both are search engines that are primarily used as a form of entertainment. I am interested in exploring how these websites are alike and different as well as how they are changing the way that we use search engines. Instead of finding out information, are search engines now turning out to be used mostly for entertainment? Is Stumbleupon better than Digg, or vice versa? These are just a few of the questions that I hope I will be able to answer in my research paper. I expect my ideal audience to be the students in my class, as well as people who are interested in how search engines are being utilized by people on the Internet.

Gossip Blogs.

The topic of my research project is the effects that celebrity gossip blogs have on their readers. The primary source I will use as evidence is PerezHilton.com. The purpose in writing this project is to see what kinds of messages celebrity gossip blogs send to their readers. I would imagine my ideal audience to be frequent readers of these types of blogs.

Reality TV

My primary source is Sammy from Jersey Shores twitter account. I'm looking into reality TV and if it is in fact, real. Im writing this to prove that what we see on TV isnt always what they make it out to be. I want to prove that reality TV shows are actualy reality at all. My ideal audiance is anyone who is a fan of reality TV and people who like shows like the Jersey Shore.

Do a barrel roll!!!

The topic I've chosen to write on is how does being anonymous effect how people write. My primary source is of 4chan and how people communicate over the website. I've chosen this topic because i'm interested in how people express their ideas more freely when no one can put a face on who said it. My audience could be anyone who uses the internet.

Pessimism

My research topic is on why pessimism makes the website fmylife.com so funny to its viewers. I plan on making a well described effort on finding out why pessimism makes the website so funny and if pessimism isn't what makes the website so funny then what is? My ideal audience I am trying to find is more of the everyday college student or teenager because fmylife.com seems to attract those types of audiences.

Media Panic

My research topic is going to be about how the media creates panic about pit bulls. I think it will be a challenge to avoid projecting my opinions into this paper because of my involvement with pit bull rescue. I found a video for my primary resource, where the news uses dramatic language and "breaking news" to bring panic to the public. Here is the link to the video, http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/video?id=7466707. I just wanted to say I'm not trying to be insensitive towards people in any kind of animal attack, I just thought it would be interesting to analyze how the media is so dramatic especially when creating a bad name for pit bulls. I imagine my ideal audience would be for people who are interested in the news and how accurate they are.

Post Secret

My primary source for my research project is Post Secret. This blog contains pictures of post cards that are sent into Frank Warren, the founder of Post Secret. He picks 10 every Sunday to post. These post cards tell the authors secret. They usually are on controversial topics such as homosexuality, self-image,abortion, adultery, rape and molestation and suicide.

The purpose of my project is to explore Post Secret's contribution to suicide prevention. Anyone who follows the blog, has read at least one secret in which the author has considered suicide. And with 407,471,344 blog viewers, most likely someone been inspired by Post Secret's posting of suicidal secrets.

If you've never looked at Post Secret, do it!!
Note: Not all of the post cards are emo, some are really funny.

Research Project

The topic I am going to research is the effects reality television has on young teens. My primary source is going to be Snooki's Twitter page. I chose this topic because I love to watch Jersey Shore, but I know that reality shows, such as Jersey Shore cannot be sending young teens a good message. I imagine my ideal audience will be those who also enjoy Jersey Shore and those who are interested in the effects reality television has on young teens.

Research Project

The topic i am going to research is how facebook has become a diagnosed addiction. I find it extremely interesting that it has become so popular that people just don't know when to log off. I am going to use my facebook itself as my primary source and show you all the people that update their status every 20 minutes and so on. My purpose in writing this is just for the fact that i find it interesting and i want to learn a little bit more about it.

The topic I’m going to research is how and why is social media changed comedy over the past decade? Certainly there are shows out there like Tosh.0 and Attack of the Show that utilize social media sources like YouTube and other user-generated material from the Internet, but how do these sources change what we think is funny or how comedians are found? Some sources I have found show that comedians are actually being found now on sites like YouTube. Bo Burnham, who was an Internet phenomenon, is now touring around the world and is selling his songs and stand-up bits on iTunes. He is just one of many who I’ve found that has been discovered by people using YouTube. I think that my ideal audience would be anybody who appreciates the humor of user-generated content and those who actually use social media sites. It’s crazy to think that these sites are actually having an impact on people’s lives and they are being discovered this way.

Research Experience

In the past I have written a handful of research papers. To be completely honest, I am not a fan of them, whatsoever. I do not feel comfortable with writing them. Sometimes I do not know if I am gathering the right information I need, others I feel like I am using too much. In my professional life, I will most likely do research when looking for housing, vacationing, jobs, when hiring people of job positions, deciding where to go, and many other everyday decision making problems I have!

Research

I think that my first research was in 5th or 6th grade and I have continued to do them ever since, through high school and now into college. I am fairly comfortable with doing most of the types of research that I have done. I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering so I will have to do many different types of research with numbers and mechanics.
In the past I have had several classes and assignments in which a great amount of research was necessary. I have done one large research assignment at OSUN for Dr. Marilee Martens in my Psych 100H class. I feel moderately comfortable with different types of research. In my personal life I plan to use research to most effectively study and perform in my classes and workplace.

Previous Research

I believe my very first research paper was in third grade. We were to pick an animal and do basic research on the animal's habitat and population and such. I chose the Polar Bear because I had always wanted one as a pet. Needless to say, I quickly changed my mind as I was researching. Anyway, as I approached high school I found that I was forced to do research on topics that I wasn't necessarily interested in such as World War II. Blah. If you are able to choose a topic of your interest, you are lucky. It makes the experience so much easier and you don't feel like you are being forced to complete the assignment. I am a Nursing major, so I will be doing research on medicine and the body and other topics related to those. Topics of that category will not be too difficult or painful for me because I am interested in them. Research is something that many of us will be doing throughout the rest of our lives, so the sooner we get used to it, the better.

Research

I think I began doing research and writing research papers early in grade school. There was never anything really hard about writing the paper as long as you can gather enough material through your research. My major is Architecture so I will probably have to do a lot of research in structures and building.

Research

My past experiences with research date way back when I was in third grade. I did a research project on former president Jimmy Carter. Although, all throughout High School I did many research projects including my senior project which I had to do if I wanted to graduate High School. I know I feel comfortable doing different forms of research because I am used to doing research and research projects. I know I will research such as product research and library research through out my academic and professional career

Research Thoughts

I have never had a problem with research papers in general. What really makes or breaks a research paper for me is the topic I am doing it on. It helps to research a topic you're interested in over one that doesn't appeal to you. Often times, it shows in the quality of work in the paper as well. When teachers let the students pick their own topic to work with, they are giving the students more freedom and power to think for themselves and explore their interests. Writing and learning can't always be fun, but it's great when it can be.

Research.

I feel like I have had a lot of experience writing research papers. I can remember writing research papers as early as the fourth or fifth grade. I have never considered research papers to be very difficult or time consuming and have always been able to find enough, or even more than enough information to complete them. I'm very comfortable with doing research, especially if it revolves around a topic which interests me.

Research

I first started writing research papers when I was in the 7th and 8th grade I think and it was for a science and history fairs that we had at my school. I am not very good at writing papers so I really didn't like it one bit. I can never find enough info that I can put into my papers and they were never on anything that I had a real interest in. The only research paper that I enjoyed writing was for a book that we got to choose my junior year and I had an interest in it. So I have never really been a fan of any research project that I have had so far in my academic career. Maybe I will if I start doing research on things that I like, I will get used to it and maybe actually come to enjoy it.

Research Papers in the Past...

I have written many researcher papers in my past academic years. I don't find writing research papers to be difficult, just time consuming and tedious. One research paper that I did struggle with, however, was one where I had to write a short story. I had to research lifestyles from a given time frame and make a short story, it was supposed to be creative, I struggled with tying in research into a creative story. Other than that I tend to like researching, because I can learn about something and broaden my horizon of knowledge. In the future I will probably need to do many types of research, I want to become a lawyer so I will need to do tons of research on previous court cases and other various subjects.

Do I Have To?

When I think of my experience in writing Research papers/essays, I usually think of excruciating pain. It's not that I have a problem with writing or research for that matter, but I do have a problem with writing about something that I am not genuinely interested in. In High School I usually was asked to research and write about a topic that was assigned to me. This is the worst thing someone could ask me to do. How can you write a paper/essay that people will be happy to read if you yourself, are not happy to write it? Luckily, my Senior year in English I was given the chance to write about a topic that I was very excited to research. I wrote about my favorite band The Beatles, and found it very easy to do the research and write the essay. I like doing research, but it definitely has to be something that I am passionate about. I am not sure if I will have to do much research in my nursing profession, but I would be comfortable in doing so, and would enjoy the opportunity to learn more about something that I love.

Research

I have not done a research paper in about one or two years but I do feel that I have had enough experience doing them and do a good job at it. My only issue with research papers is the amount of time it takes me to do one, but if its something I am interested in then I tend to a better job.

Research Papers!

I actually tend to do really well writing research papers, especially ones that have something to do with what I love or am interested in. I am normally pretty comfortable with writing different forms of research papers as long as I have a bunch of information to help me. Research papers are really hard to write if the topic you have doesn't have much info.

Research

I am comfortable with research papers. I completed two last quarter and many more in my high school career. I find research papers to be useful and will continue doing research on topics of my interest. It is not the writing that I most enjoy; I would rather write my opinions about something that I researched. I will use the researching skills I gain in this class to schedule a vacation that I will need after writing this research paper. :P

Research - Blah!

I have found that the research papers that I had to do in high school were boring. I mean I don't mind the investigating, I just hate the writing. I had to do them mainly in Marine Biology. I honestly don't even remember what I did the papers on. In my personal time and for school, I do a lot of research on psychology specifically abnormal psychology. I like to learn about notorious psychopathic criminals and the freaks of the world to be unpolitically correct.

Researching

In the past I have done a lot of research papers. I would say that those were one thing my high school teachers focused on, because then we would be prepared for tough papers in college. I'm pretty comfortable with research papers, because it's all about working the information that you have into a logical paper. Research that I will do for my academic life will involve picking a subject to research, most likely topics that will prepare me for my major, and learning as much as I can about the it so it will actually benefit me in the future.

Research Experience

I didn't do much research paper in high school. It was more of response papers where you basically just shared your opinions and ideas. Since I haven't done many research papers in the past, I don't feel extremely comfortable writing them. I think this kind of writing is important and I'll need to be more comfortable in this kind of writing because I will probably be doing a lot of this in the future with other classes!

Holiday by Green day is a good song

I, like pretty much every student everywhere, have written research papers on various topics. Some pre-chosen or some completely free to decided what topic i could pick. No matter what the paper, I have been pretty good about coming up with enough things to write about, the problem has actually been getting it done. If its a topic i'm genuinely interested in then i will spend a lot of time on it. Making it sound perfect as if somebody else would read it other then the teacher. If the topic is boring then i will just do the bare minimum. As long there are no spelling errors and its somewhat grammatically correct then i couldn't care less. I'm not to sure for my professional life if i will have to write research papers (I'm majoring in aeronautical engineering and i'm not to sure if actually end up doing that as a career, but maybe/probably?) but for my personal life i highly doubt i will be writing anything.

----Title unrelated

Research Experience

I don't have much experience with research papers. I did a few for my Marine Biology Class in high school and we had to use APA format which was confusing at first. We didn't spend enough time on it to learn anything. In my english classes we spent all of our time reading prompts and analyzing and responding to them. So I am not that comfortable with doing different types of reasearch, but I can't imagine it would be too hard, I have just never had to do it. I'm sure i'll have research to do throughout school, work, and even my personal life, so I better get used to it.

Research Experience

A research paper was the most commonly written paper throughout my schooling. I enjoy writing a research paper over any other type of paper. I feel comfortable writing a research paper because I have had to write quite a few in the past. I am a biology major, so I am sure sometime throughout that process I will have to do some type of research.

Past Research

I've had some past experience in research papers. I have only done research papers for school, but I've done different types like for science and for english. I enjoy doing research papers over any other type of paper. Doing research papers is nice because you get to learn more about something and see different views of it. I will probably mostly only be doing research papers for academic reasons but may do it for other reasons in my life.
My past experiences with research papers normally go well. It doesn't seem to hard as long as you can find the sources you're looking for. Research projects I've done in the past are usually about arbitrary topics that I haven't had control over and don't normally interest me, so this research paper will be a nice change. In my professional career future research topics will most likely be about engineering or chemistry because that's pretty much my major. In my personal life I don't think I will need to write anymore essays. Hopefully no more than a simple Google search is necessary there.

Past with Research

In the past I have found research papers very easy. I feel they are easier to complete than other forms of writing because someone else has already provided the info for you. You only have to look for the information and put it into your own words. The only kind of research I see myself doing in the future would be research for papers in school or if the job I choose requires me to do research for certain things.

Research

My past experiences with research projects have always went well. They are my favorite papers to write because usually you learn a lot about the topic you are writing about. Usually the topic is something that interests you but you haven't heard to much about it. I feel comfortable doing all types of research because I have been taught how to do research and make the essay well written. Most of my research for my professional life will be science based because that is my major. Most of my personal research will just be topics that I have heard are interesting and want to learn more about which doesn't involve writing an essay with it.

GivesMeHope

I chose to write my analysis paper on givesmehope.com. It's basically the same thing as fmylife.com, except the stories are inspirational, cheerful ones. The posts are all very short, most of them can be read in less than 30 seconds. So if you're in a bad mood, or just bored surfing the internet, take a look.

The Evolution of Dance

I chose to write my analysis on The Evolution of Dance YouTube video. I chose this because it has several components that can be dissected and studied to supply a good analysis. Watch this video, it is entertaining and very funny.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMH0bHeiRNg

Stumbleupon

Stumbleupon is a website that is created with the user in mind. Like Facebook, Stumbleupon requires you to make an account by using an email address and password to utilize it's services. Once your account is set up there is a list of topics, genres, and hobbies that one is to choose from in accordance with your interests. You then hit the Stumble button and it takes you to websites that reflect the interests you chose. If you do not like the website you are currently viewing, a change of scenery is just a click away with the stumble button. I chose this source to analyze because it is one of my favorites, and I believe that the concept of the website is something that is original and unique to the person using it.

If you would like to visit Stumbleupon, go to:

http://www.stumbleupon.com/home/

Tourette's Guy

I chose to analyze the contact page of the Tourette's Guy's website. I chose this because I think that it is interesting how he thinks that they are filming a documentary of him, but that he does not know that he is a YouTube sensation.

Daniel Tosh's Blog

For my primary source analysis assignment I have chosen Daniel Tosh's blog post on Comedy Central's website. I have always been a pretty big fan of him even when he was just starting out. His stand-up comedy and his TV shows are hilarious and I figured this would be a perfect source for me to analyze.

http://www.comedycentral.com/tosh.0/

fmylife.com

I decided to analyze fmylife.com. I use the website on a personal use for a good laugh and to see all the situations some people face. I chose fmylife.com because the site is very active and has much humor involved with the website.

fmylife.com

Perez Hilton.

I have chosen to analize Perez Hilton's blog for my assignment. I have read Perez Hilton's blog on many different occasions and always find it interesting. I'm excited to learn more about this blog and draw conclusions about why things are the way they are.

Facebook

I chose facebook for the analysis paper. I chose this because I use it daily. Also, because I wanted to know more on it since I just watched the movie about it and I use it so often. www.facebook.com

BLINKX

For my primary source analysis paper I have chosen www.blinkx.com. I frequently use this website for watching shows and movies. It is free and simple to use. You can sometimes watch movies that arent even out sometimes.

Sammi Sweetheart

I was going to go with a page just about Jersey Shore because it is my favorite show but, I decided to go with just one of the cast members instead. I chose Sam Giancola's twitter page because i thought it would be interesting to follow and see what shes really all about. I actually can not stand her on the show but I thought I would give her twitter page a shot.

http://twitter.com/SamGiancolaMTV

iTunes Ping

I was going to go with some aspect of Facebook for my source since I'm so familiar with the site and how it functions, but I decided to go with Apple's Ping social network for a couple reasons. I love Apple and this will be a good opportunity to analyze their new experiment and become a participant of it. Also, I have doubts of how it will fare against such established social networks such as MySpace and Last.fm, so this will give me the chance to really find out just how these various social networks compare and contrast.

http://www.apple.com/itunes/ping/

Snooki's Twitter Stream

I have chosen to analyze Snooki's Twitter stream. I enjoy watching Jersey Shore and especially like Snooki. Many people would agree that Snooki doesn't say the smartest things, which makes it very entertaining to see what she tweets about.

http://twitter.com/sn00KI

4chan

I've chosen to write about 4chan for this research paper because I think it is backwards from almost every social media site out there. For most sites you have to make an account, include your name, where you live, how old, you are, put up pictures blah blah blah. In 4chan it can be completely anonymous with many different board topics ranging from video games to paranormal or just random.

StumbleUpon

My primary source I have chosen is www.stumbleupon.com. This is a website where you can stumble upon various websites that match your selected interests. I chose this site because I 'stumble' almost all the time and it offers a lot of interesting pictures, articles, comics, etc.

Primary Source is....

Primary Source: http://www.glennbeck.com/

I am choosing to analyze Genn Beck's website. I have a big interest in politics and Glenn Beck is a prominent figure in politics. Although many people will call what he says crazy and illogical, he often is right on a lot of things and is a good, warm-hearted, person. So, I will get to learn more about him and his messages and hopefully, maybe, even get others to see that he is often times misrepresented, and to give him a chance before they totally dismiss him, or anyone for that matter.

Primary Source- TMZ

For my primary source, I chose to write about TMZ. TMZ is an entertainment website for celebrity gossip. I chose this social media website because it shares interesting current celebrity events- good and bad. They do not sugarcoat or hide information about people, and sometimes make fun of situations.

http://www.tmz.com

Rumor Fix

The primary source that I have decided to analyze is Rumor Fix. This website has a lot of articles about rumors that have been said about celebrities and says whether or not they are true or not. I chose this website because I thought it was interesting and you never know what is true or not about celebrities and this website gives a lot of information about them.

http://rumorfix.com/

Murder Rebel Radio

Murder Rebel Radio is the primary source I chose to analyze. I like this site because it takes current news and events, and makes them easy to listen to by adding a little humor to each story. Their podcasts are highly entertaining, and fun to listen to.

Chad Ochocinco's Facebook

The Primary source that i am choosing to analyze is Chad Ochocino's facebook page. I chose to analyze this cause the things that fans and non fans of Chad post on his wall are extremely interesting to me. I don't understand if you hate someone one why would you have their page anyways and two why would you comment on it and trash talk them.

www.facebook.com

Sunday, January 16, 2011

DeviantART

I chose DeviantART as my primary source. I get on this site occasionally to look at different photography mostly. I think it's pretty interesting, you can get a variety of artists and types of work on one site and if you are a member you can comment. You can search for specific topics for photos and I like that.

Metacritic

I chose "Metacritic" as my primary source to analyze. It is a site I use to find reviews of music, movies and video games. I chose to analyze "Metacritic" because it has a large audience and the site needs to appeal to that wide range of people to be successful.

http://www.metacritic.com/

Primary source: Nicki Minaj

I chose Nicki Minaj's twitter page as my primary source to analyze. I chose this source because i think Nicki Minaj is an interesting artist and person. She's always doing or saying something crazy, so it would be interesting to analyze what she says or puts on her twitter page. I would also like to learn more about twitter and how it's used.

Primary Source: Hulu

http://www.hulu.com/

I've decided to do my primary source on Hulu. I've always used Hulu to catch up on shows I've missed, or clips I want to watch. More specifically than Hulu, I'm going to analyze the Modern Famliy comments and reviews on Hulu. I watch this show a lot, especially through Hulu. I think it will be interesting to see what kind of people watch this show, and why people like certain episodes. I've already posted a comment of my own!

Thursday, January 13, 2011

Primary Source

The primary source that I am thinking about analyzing is celebrities on twitter. I Think that researching about the celebrities that are on twitter and what they use it for will be interesting. I think that it will be interesting because I do not know very much about twitter and how it is used. So by looking at the site and learning about it how twitter works and how it is related to Facebook and how it is different.

Zach CAmpbell

Sorry for the late post. I have played soccer my whole life so I am real big on the sport. I like to follow my favorite players and teams and one way to do so is to use blogs. One that I use is http://soccerblogs.net/. On this site you can find results and news about teams and players. A lot of the posts are from fans who find news on other sites and just keep people informed. Instead of visiting several sites to get news you can visit just one.

Kandee Land

While browsing on youtube one day about a year ago, I came across a video with a young woman named Kandee Johnson who specialized in making makeup tutorials. As it was a few months away from Senior Prom most girls my age were probably doing the same thing that I was (i.e. looking up dresses, hairstyles, and makeup ideas). I started watching a few of her videos, and soon after I was hooked. She had a great personality and really was knowledgeable of her craft. I found that she had a blog and began to visit it quite frequently. Kandee posts various updates on the makeup she prefers, where to get the makeup she uses in her videos, and just general tips and advice for those of us who are not as makeup savvy. I love this blog because not only does Kandee educate the public with her talent, she also promotes the empowerment of women. She is a great role model for young women everywhere, and I feel priviledged to be able to read her blog. Her blog is a must read!

BlockONation blog review

http://blog.blockonation.com/2011/01/cupboard-overload-video-spotlight-on.html

This is a blog that includes everything that is Ohio State football. Fans, players, coaches, officials, and anyone else interested are able to share posts that are related to football at Ohio State. Common posts include highlight videos, complaining about referee's calls in the most recent game, and rambling about next season's recruiting class. Anyone who is a contributor may post anything they wish on the blog. However, unrelated or inappropriate posts are removed and the contributor is blocked. Those who run the BlockONation website are resposible for any adding, editing or removing posts. This blog is appealing to me because of my mild obsession with buckeye football. I enjoy the videos and expert posts on game strategy and play making. I especially enjoy reading about the 2011 recruiting class and what next season will bring.

Engadget

Engadget is a very popular weblog that tracks and posts up-to-date information on the latest gadgets and technology in the world of consumer electronics. It is one of many sites that are part of Weblog, Inc. which is now owned by AOL, so they certainly have enough credentials to be trusted. Along with simple text posts, they often include images, videos, podcasts, and even hands-on demonstrations that show off or discuss various products and new tech. If there is ever a time I want to read about the latest gadget on the market or see what new rumors are swirling around Apple's latest iProduct, Engadget is the site I go to. Fmylife Blog

A blog I have come to enjoy over the years is fmylife.com. I found this blog a couple years ago when I was bored with my friend Cole. The blog is about many people dealing with their issues ranging from intimacy issues to money to even work and kids. Whats nice about this blog is that anybody can write the blog and anyone can follow who ever they want. This blog is appealing to me because the posts on the website are usually funny and reassures you that no matter how bad things are, somebody's life is probably worse.

Enjoying the Small Things.

A couple of months ago, my mom showed me some pictures from a blog that she likes to read. This blog is written by a woman named Kelle Hampton from Florida. She is a photographer, wife and mother of a three year old and a baby with down syndrome. Kelle frequently blogs about her own life and how much she enjoys being a mom. My mom and I enjoy reading this blog because Kelle has a very detailed writing style and the pictures of the babies are so cute!

The Movie Blog

As I was browsing through several different blogs, I came across a blog about movies. This particular blog provides you with opinions of movies, gossip, and really anything you would want to know. With each post, there is a picture of what the movie is and even have the movie trailers attached. This blog appears to be very simple to navigate, which in my opinion makes it more appealing. It seems to be updated frequently by knowledgeable movie buffs. I recommend visiting The Movie Blog if you are interested in the latest news on movies.

I am a sports fanatic, so I like to keep up with all the lastest news in the world of sports. On this site you will find scores, highlights, news, and transactions in all sports. Sports writers are the one responsible for updating this site. I like this site because it gives me all the information I want when it comes to sports. I can check up on scores and stats when I am not around a television, so it kind of keeps me in the loop when I can't watch.

Tosh.0

Funny story about how i choose my topic. Like all the posts I have read so far I never even thought of blogging, it just wasn't my thing. Well when I was trying to decide what blog to blog about I was struggling. I wanted to pick something interesting to myself and have some sort of an appeal to a reader. So as I was searching I happened to be watching Tosh.0. I had always noticed it but never paid much attention at the end when he says "visit us at our blog http://www.comedycentral.com/tosh.0/". Instantly I knew what I had to write about. The site is just like the show itself (which if you haven't seen the show i completely recommend). It contains funny videos and pictures with funny comments either between the people at Tosh or the fans themselves. Right now, one of my favorite videos on the site is the WTFriday video.

Funny Blog

Well I was looking around for a blog that was interesting and I came across "People of Walmart". I went and was looking at it and there are hundreds of pictures that were actually taken at different Walmart stores across the country. There are also many stories and videos that are posted daily. I figured people would enjoy this blog!

Lil Wayne

I don't really follow or read blogs, but one that I have been for awhile is this one about Lil Wayne. It was started in March when he had to go to jail and it was to keep him in touch with his fans. It was originally updated by his friend Twist, but now he can update it himself. Even though he is out of jail he continues to use it to just put his outlook on things and communicate with his fans. This blog appeals to me becuase I'm a huge Lil Wayne fan and I like how he shows he really is a genuine and real person.

Celebrity News

I'm not a blogger, so this is all new to me. As I was browsing I came across a blog, Celebrity News, about the latest gossip and entertainment. They provide you with the latest celebrity news along with interviews, pictures, videos and movie reviews. This blog appears quite simple, which I like, yet has many different categories you can browse through. It has a list of the most popular celebrities so you can easily find what you're looking for. Celebrity News is kept up-to-date and has multiple postings from a person called "Neo" each day, so it seems credible. If you are interested in keeping up with the latest gossip and news, I definitely recommend this blog.

Country Music Tattle Tale

I chose to share Country Music Tattle Tale, which is a country music-based blog. It keeps up with all of the current news/gossip in the Country industry and is based on entertainment. Country Music Tattle Tale is ran by two authors that go by the names of "Country Girl" and "Tawny Tucker." The blog has information about about anything from who won what awards, to who had a baby. To me, I find this blog appealing because I have a love for Country music, going to Country concerts and I love the lifestyle. Living in Texas has made a huge impact on my likings. I am a Country girl at heart!

A New Blog I Found

While searching for various blogs on the Internet I stumbled across this sports blog which includes a ton of information for all sports fans. From college to pro and football to mixed martial arts, it has all the major sports covered. The blog is updated daily by people who are passionate and knowledgeable about that which they write. This blog is awesome to me, I am a pretty big sports fan especially baseball and football and it has all the teams covered with updates on players, trades, rumors, and news. This is one of the better sports blogs that I have come across and will probably continue following it in the future.

http://allthingsfrenchie.blogspot.com/

I found this blog that covers everything about french bulldogs. I have a french bulldog and I absolutely love the breed. This blog goes over the good, the bad and the ugly about them. Plus the pictures are so cute!

This is my frenchie, Maddie.

A Blog I'm Interested In

http://badrap-blog.blogspot.com/

I am new to this whole blogging world. I tried looking for a credible blog about pit bulls and BSL (Breed Specific Legislation), and came across this blog. This blog posts updates about rescued pit bulls and the latest news about positive achievements about people and pit bulls. There are several people who update this blog, one of them being Elizabeth Kennedy. I like how this blog uncovers the myths about pit bulls, and shows you how loyal and caring they really are. I like being able to read a blog where the people who created it have the same goals as me when it comes to fighting for pit bulls (and other bully-breeds) rights.

Birthday Shoes....

http://birthdayshoes.com/

Being a proud owner of a pair of Vibram Five Fingers' shoes, I found this site to be very helpful. Justin Owings has put together an un-official fan club website where he has put his experiences and stories of his barefoot shoes, Justin does a good job of showing pictures of the shoes along with a descriptive analysis of how the shoes should be worn and used. Justin Owings updates it often, he not only does Vibram's Brand of shoes but other minimalist shoes. When I was shopping around for a pair of these shoes, I stumbled upon his blog about these shoes, his experiences were helpful when first learning about the science that is behind these different shoes. Athough one-sided, it was still helpful in my decision as to what pair to get.

Blog Post

http://themovieblog.com/

"The Movie Blog" is an all-in-one movie news spot; it has movie reviews, news and interviews with directors and actors. I am attracted to this site because it is all-inclusive and easy to navigate. I also enjoy reading the posts and comments left by people who have a similar passion for film. This site is directed at anybody who takes interest in film, but many of the posts seem addressed to moviegoers who take their hobby seriously.
http://mashable.com/

Mashable was founded by Pete Cashmore. I find it to be a great blog because i has information about a lot of things that i enjoy such as, technology, and Facebook and several other things. I love seeing all the new technology that people in the world are coming up with. It is amazing the things people think of to invent and sell at stores near us. It makes me wonder what the future has in store for us.

The Blog that I find interesting

The blog that I find interesting is The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post is about daily political, social, and breaking news. Post that appear on this blog are post about the war in Afghanistan, celebrities and what kind of things are doing. Also some other posts are about new cars in 2011 and new technology. The people who update the Huffington Post are different bloggers, Arianna Huffington the person who started the site. Also politicians, celebrities, and policy experts. I find this blog interesting because it has daily news. If I were to actually follow a blog I would probably choose this one because it is everything that I find interesting. The news is an important part of daily life just because you should know whats going on in your country and everything around you.
